Cannabis Oil Beauty Uses
We have all heard about the discovery that red wine can prevent heart disease, cancer, and wrinkles. We don’t know if this is true but it has now also been established that cannabis oil is good for your skin. Medical Marijuana Inc. has launched a line of anti-aging beauty products, starring super-concentrated cannabis-enriched hemp oil.
Beauty Products Made from Hemp Seed Oil
If the idea that cannabis products can be found in the beauty section at your local department store, next to L’Oréal and Estee Lauder, excites you, just take note that this isn’t recent news. While it is subtly referred to as “hemp,” cannabis has been an ingredient in some beauty products for a long time. Hemp seed oil has been casually used in cosmetics during the war on drugs. This is because it only contains trace elements of THC, the active ingredient in marijuana. Hemp is predominantly found in shampoos and conditioners as it is full of omega-3 and omega-6 fatty acids and is thus a great emollient for hair.
Face Creams Contain CBD Oil
The latest cannabis oil beauty products are different because they are going for the hard stuff. Medical cannabis oil beauty products use cannabidiol-rich hemp oil in its exfoliants, cleansers, moisturizers, eye creams, gel masques and serums. Such cannabis oil beauty products can actually be a life saver – for your skin, at least. Clinical research proves that cannabinoids have anti-aging and antioxidant properties. Studies proving cannabinoids are responsible for lipid production are published in the journal of the Federation of American Societies for Experimental Biology. They state that these compounds are good for regulating conditions like dry skin and acne. “Our preclinical data encourage people to explore whether endocannabinoid system-acting agents could be exploited in the management of common skin disorders,” scientist Tamás Biró said. “It also suggests that these agents can be efficiently applied to the skin in the form of a cream.”
Another study in the British Journal of Pharmacology proved that cannabidiol has the potential for helping some skin diseases.
It seems convincing enough therefore that one should approach cannabis beauty products with an open mind. Still, it is still quite ironic that the wrinkles caused by so many years of smoking can be undone by a topical dab of cannabis oil.
