Does Cannabis Oil Help Cure Breast Cancer?
Many women today want to know if cannabis oil does cure breast cancer as they are looking towards alternative therapies to treat the disease. Breast cancer is the most prevalent cancer among women and the second most common cancer after lung cancer to affect mankind. The search for an effective treatment is gaining pace and studies are being done on the many different cannabinoids within the cannabis plant. Two of these, cannabidiol (CBD) and tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) can be used to kill cancer cells. THC is the psychotropic cannabinoid and known ti be is the main psychoactive ingredient in cannabis. When these ingredients are present, cannabis oil can cure breast cancer.
What does CBD do to Cure Breast Cancer?
CBD does not cause a high in the patient and is is able to stop cancer cells in their tracks as they try to multiply. This cannabinoid can stop breast cancer cells from undergoing metastasis when they spread in the form of tumours to other parts of the body. Studies have shown that CBD, the second most common cannabinoid in the marijuana plant, can cure cancer and it can be used alongside conventional treatment for cancer such as Chemotherapy and Radiotherapy to enhance the effects and to ease the side effects (nausea, vomiting, insomnia, pain). There is evidence too now that CBD hampers tumor growth and transmission to other parts of the body (metastasis). The CBD is able to force the cancer cells to commit suicide through apoptosis which is programmed cell death, a natural daily occurance in every human body. Cancer cells tend to keep dividing and multiplying so this process will impede the cancer from spreading. CBD can also hinder angiogenesis which is when the tumors grow new blood vessels to stay alive and move around.
One investigation revealed that cannabis oil can cure breast cancer when it stopped the migration of invasive breast cancer cells. Many women cannot treat their breast cancer with conventional therapies so are turning to cannabis oils as a resolution. CBD and THC can work with the body’s innate endocannabinoid system to force cell death, hinder cell growth and halt the spread of the cancer cells. At the same time, the cannabinoids do not affect the healthy cells in any way.
